Michael is developmental psychologist and is licensed to practice psychology in NY and NJ. His commitment to donor conceived family members is deep and very personal. He was a sperm donor in the 1970s and was “found” by one of his biological children in December 2018. After making his DNA publicly available and through communications via half-siblings, he believes that he is the biological father of approximately 20 children (now adults) of whom he has met 15. He has established very close and loving relationships with some of his biological children and maintains intermittent contact with others, always deferring to the desires of his biological offspring. He has given testimony to the donor conception task of ASRM articulating his policy and practice recommendations regarding donor conceived families, presented at Right to Know conference on being a bio-dad, and he serves on the research advisory board of the Donor Conception Network.
