US Fertility 

Lisa A. Rinehart is a nurse-attorney who has been involved in many aspects of reproductive medicine over her extensive career which started in the ICU. Her professional journey led her to becoming a fertility clinic nurse (doing hands-on care), a corporate attorney (managing practice startups, mergers and acquisitions, physician agreements and the like); practice manager (handling the soup-to-nuts of daily operations), an educator (teaching graduate level courses in health law), and a risk manager. Truly “married” to her profession, Lisa’s husband, John, is a reproductive endocrinologist and the current division director of REI at RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago.

In 2022, Lisa joined the legal department of US Fertility and is currently Assistant General Counsel and the national Director of Risk Management. In this role she helps manage corporate legal matters and coordinates the risk management department where she provides risk assessments, coordinates responses to potential and actual risk events, manages litigation in collaboration with five US Fertility medical practices, 13 Ovation laboratories and numerous ancillary businesses. Lisa’s mission at US Fertility, as in her entire career, is to help providers bring quality care to their patients while understanding (and hopefully avoiding) the legal risks that apply to reproductive medicine.
