Meet Our Presenter

Keren Sofer, PsyD is a licensed psychologist whose clinical interests include couples and families, psychological testing and assessment, and supervision. She earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the University of Denver, Colorado, completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital,University of Pennsylvania Health System, and  is certified as an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFT). In private practice since 2010, Dr. Sofer has developed expertise in relational and attachment-based approaches, family-building through 3rd party reproduction and psychological evaluations for immigration. She has also taught psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate level on topics including psychopathology, practicum supervision, developmental psychology, attachment theory and couple therapy. Over the past few years, Dr. Sofer has studied of shame and its impact on the therapeutic relationship and within the couple dynamic.  Keren L. Since 2019, she has delved into the study of shame and its impact on the therapeutic relationship and within the couple dynamic.
